I've always been low on
patience.  My dad has told me several times to stop and smell the roses.  You are right, that these things become more obvious to us as we get older.  Now time flies, and I find myself taking more time for things I enjoy when I would have been more of a worker bee in the past. Not that it's okay to dodge responsibility, but the reality of life is that it's so much more than work. Anyway, your post was very interesting

Fascinating post. The whole issue of 'paradigms', the conflicts between them and the shiftings thereof happen at all levels. You should definitely read Thomas Kuhn, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions...
