money money noney! most of it went to pay for a new name that the monk choses so that she can be a disciple of buddha. The price is never set, a big mystery, having to do with ability to pay as well as wanting to 'do the right thing'. I imagine. I don't know how it works....someone in the family always knows what to to, but unfortunately that someone in our case was my mother-in-law.
