I think rich meant snow...just a typo Dave.
Good information again. I am a winter lover. I begin by celebrating the colors of Autumn, hunker down to hypernate with forty new books that I'm itching to read and enjoy the holidays and family tremendously. I am the hostess, the cook and the entertainer in the family, so the dark days of winter are my time to shine! I feel healthier, maybe because I can't stand the heat and spend far more times outdoors from Autumn through Spring! Just my two cents worth! ~Blessings~

I am sure your readers appreciate your good news and your comments. Last years winter was not so bad in NY. Let's hope this year is equally good. Thanks for the info on your local winter. It must be really easy to deal with. Best of luck and I hope you  re-join your friends, shortly!

PS - winter here has no snow. blizzards, icy or other terrible conditions.
Even in the thick of winter there is 10 hours daylight. the coldest it gets here is about 5 scattered nights of minus 3 (thick frost and ice on the windscreen until it drops off at about 9am) ......a normal COLD winter night is about 5 degrees C....daytime most often sunny, not too windy and around 18 degrees C. Great for physical work !!!

i'm not really back LOL ..... I just came in to check something.....
I'm so busy with a zillion intense things. I love winter - and am now starting to bemoan the fact it will soon be over in our part of the world. I like it cos I can get physical - out in the garden and paddock doing physical things. Summer here is about 6 months of being too hot for physical work outdoors.

Anyways better get back to the damn housework here - I'm having a BIRTHDAY PARTY tomorrow - my first one is years. We've had so much rain here lately - thank God the drought has broken. Has been a 6 year drought - so I refuse to complain about the rain - but it would be nice if it doesn't rain tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Hello to anyone dropping into this room. I'll be back when I can.

Jaahda :-)

Spanish Dragon:
Natural fleece is ok...it's the artificial imitations sold at Old Navy that reek! If you can afford it, there are things like the magnopro and the aura cleanser that help you sustain and increase energy levels! Thanks!

Plz read my reply to .Dave for clarifications. Too much of one thing is good for nothing....they told us , meaning over 90 days in summer, and too much winter. Of course, it probably is true for money and poverty too! Thanks!

Read my reply to .Dave and the matter should be resolved. After Feb/March, I have had enough! Thanks!

Pinjere ke pannchi.... is one of my favorites too. I think they came  to my country, but then poor guys like me couldn't afford it. But I have seen Usha Uthup and Hari om sharan. Pradeep is singing about birds. Indian girls like to think of themselves as birds and pigeons who await a 'hunter' , in games. And he sings next....'no-one knows your pain'! Thanks

Thanks! What is calpol? Yes, crystals have power and peculiar energies. I met a Danish friend in India in 1986 who collected gems. He told me he could talk to them. He located an amethyst he reported actually liked me! He gave it to me and it was stolen! Thanks!

I personally need sun to keep up my energy-I find at a few minutes in a sun lamp is helpful. What about polar fleece-I always feel warmer in my polar fleece?

.Dave
I re-read my post and found that I had written....'Winter as the dreaded enemy'. I then proceeded to explain that evil people use the conditions of winter to to enhance themselves, grow stronger, and attack good people. I then went on to indicate some things that weaken good people and offer some info on strenghtening oneself. In my last line, I wrote....'as evil threaten's to besiege us once more. This in the context used meant..'evil people are about to attack us again'.  I am still trying to understand how you concluded that from what you read. I used to enjoy winter until I discovered how evil people use it to manifest greater power! Thanks for comments! At heart , I am an all -season kind of person....that is until it gets into the 90's or by Feb/March!

Re: Callista
Glad you appreciate the info. Only fabrics or products from natural products do not weaken you.  Even the sheets and bedroom slippers have to be watched. When you get jolts of electricity from your metallic appliances  possessions, know that something is wrong! Oh! I enjoyed the snow too, catching snowflakes, wading through the accumulating heaps etc. Thanks!

I love winter.  I have never thought of it as evil, not even when I got frostbitten toes as a child from staying out in it too long.  It is a very special time of year.

Good part 2.  You make me want to rush to chemist and stock up on Calpol!  Seriously, I wear Citrine (a crystal) that apparently gives sun energy and dispells negativity in the winter.  It may be a lot of old bunk'em, but it makes me feel good - probably just the power of suggestion, but I don't really care it it does the job.

I don't see any evil in winteriness, Dave. You have to have the dark to have the light, decay to have regeneration, etc. In fact, the seering blast of summer sun can feel more evil to me. Although, I perhaps mean that in a different sense to your use of the word.

fast food isnt even food, thanks for the positive ion emitting info
i love winter at times, when a heavy rain comes down the valley and the clouds are socked up in each canyon as it drops rain and a fire burns in the fire place, maybe having to go outside to deal with a water problem getting all wet and coming in to the warmth of the fire'and the rain drops dripping off my hair onto my shoulders.the shorter days dont do anything for me though.

soul you taught me something new, about the materials.
i always buy cotton, but never a thought to the lining, now i will be on the lookout,  and my bed linens, i guess down is the way to go.  i am so fortunate to be in a climate where we do get cold, but it is not so cold as to snow, but you know i can remember the snow as a child and how much i enjoyed being out in it, till my nose and toes were almost frozen.  i miss the icecycles hanging from the roof to the ground where they met the snow. we use to snap them off and suck on them.  awwww great memories.
