My cat is like that, too. Sometimes he even sleeps upside down with half his body dangling precariously off of the sofa.
Plus, he talks a lot in his sleep. I can't understand what he's saying, though.
Instead of a trap door, what about a trap window?
The guy looks out it, and if he leans too far, he falls out.
Wait. I guess that's like a regular window.
