well, drinkers should take note of the first two lines.

Ah yes, the tiny voice inside my head. At least it is only one, and it's mine

Re:
Thanks for posting that! It's lovely (and funny!) and it reminds me that I have this kind of perfect place in my head where I'm in the middle of a forest and come upon a small river with beautiful flowers around it and most of all, a waterfall that I can get to easily. I stand under the waterfall and imagine it as a white, healing light flowing through me - it always works.  I must remember to try that again from now on when those voices pop up.

Re: ophelia.......
Oh it can't have been that - I was drinking plenty! :P Ohhh, yes!  I don't drink anymore anyway but I did get to the sensible point where I alternated a drink with a glass of water.  The trouble with drinking so much brandy or whatever on an empty stomach is that I usually lie down somewhere and think "just a moment and I'll go and drink a lot of water" and then of course before I know it, I wake up hours later completely dehydrated!  I think drinking milk and taking Vitamin B before drinking is meant to help too.

ophelia.......
Hangover is due to dehydration, I think!

I sometimes hear voices in my head, too.

Although, fortunately, in my case, they offer only words of encouragement.

Whenever I need to "get away'',
I just get away in my mind.
I go to my imaginary spot,
where the beach is perfect,
and the water is perfect,
and the weather is perfect.
The only bad thing there are the flies.
They're terrible!
