Re: .Dave.
Thank you very much :))  I love the villanelle too, when it's written just right.  I wasn't sure if I'd picked the right subject for this, my first attempt!  It had me tearing my hair out at one point!  But overall in the end I think it says what I wanted it to say.  Your comment really means a lot to me because I have been very ensure about this one - thank you

Thank you so much!  I had been trying to write a villanelle for a long time and it ended up being about this, which made it harder in the end - I was tearing my hair out! But I'm quite happy with it now :) and your comment means a LOT to me x

job with it!

Fantastic Ophelia. I love the villanelle - it allows for such haunting repetition. And when you can make it twist and turn as you've done here, you get a journey as well as a poem. One of my favourite poems of my own is a villanelle. A great start to my reads today. Cheers!

Re: Ophelia......
I wish it was more strange than it is... or really that it never happened at all to anyone :)

Re: Wow.........sad.
Yeah... but it really helps to be able to write poems about it.  I never used to be able to, about that one thing - but now I can and..I dunno...it makes me feel like I 'won' and he 'lost' somehow.
