now I am with a company that has its own clincs and you can only go to them to use your benefits, my dughter wanted me to go to the emergency room, but I have experienced a very long wait and I dont think I could wait that long, Just hoping tomorrow I can get some where with them

We have several decent walk-in clinics that are open on weekends
and two of the large medical centers here have extended hours, including weekends, for established patients.
What a drag to be in pain and not have anywhere to go. Of course, there's always the emergency room. Doesn't your insurance have to pay for that visit?

I tried to get that across to the rep I was talking to, that they should provide care for the customers convenience not theirs, and especially when you are over 60

That's the tragedy of our health care system-- they are pretty much
saying, "too bad, you should have known better than to get sick on the weekends!"
Even my dog can see his vet on the weekends, but then again, Costa Rica DID beat U.S. in this year's world health system ranking. Things like this really makes me angry. Maybe someday I'll run for the president!

its the insurance companies they work for now and not themselves. And I know I told you I dont like or go to docs but in this case I would break down, but I have to wait and hope one will take me on Monday

but I don't go to doctors and when you want one you might as well curl up in a corner and die
until Monday and then there is no promise you can get in on Monday

I've been going to the same Dr. for about 30 years..... but I'd be hard pressed to find him on a Saturday. Yes, those were the days when Drs came by the house!
