Yes actually. But she did eventually call him after he kept calling her for a while.
Not that it helped a lot.
Everything is worked out...but they never did return my portfolio.

Is this evaluator someone you pay?
If so, you may need fresh meat.

This is true, but in most jobs they will be with others, varying in age also.
By age range, I meant the same age within a year or two at the most.

Focusing, I'm not sure about.  I never learned to focus in school.  While I did well in my high school years, still, I day dreamed mostly the entire day, and when not doing that, I did homework from other classes.
I was one of those people that never took a book home.

I'm not sure what kind of learner I am, but I would guess that I'm a bit of a "hands on" learner...as I learn best by doing something a few times.

most people who work will be with those in their age range every day.
btw... I can understand if the child has special needs but for the most part, I think learning how to focus in school is part of the learning experience.   Of course, every child is different, so I'm generalizing.

In a way, it's true, but she still socializes.  There are still kids here in the neighborhood that she plays with, and she talks to everyone where ever we go.
A reality that a lot of people miss, is that aside from being in school, most will never in life be amoungst a large group of people all in their age range.

Sunny I am kinda of with BC on this...I don't understand homeschool either because of the lack of social skills taught ( one really has to be amoung others in order to learn those things)...peer pressure,etc...but I sure do wish you luck with this..

The schools lack the one on one learning and some styles of learning that the child(ren) may work best with.  Children learn in different ways.
My daughter had a VERY hard time in public school.  She can't stay sitting for long, and has a very short attention span.
It is a struggle to work with her.

It's not like this everywhere.  Some states and counties even don't give half the resistance that we get here.  It varies by school district too.

I'm not a fan of homeschooling. I just don't get it.
Unless you're constantly moving or in an unsafe school district, then why not send kids to school?

Wow, there sure is a lot of red tape with the schools versus the
homeschoolers...good luck, Sunny!
