What a tragic story.  It is a shame that young people sometimes feel there is no alternative and fall into such depths of depression.  If the adage "it takes a village to raise a child" bears some truth then we as a village are failing our youth.

Isn't that a shame.

I can't imagine how one already fragile as his wife who had done the drugs will deal with this. I hope this keeps her clean. I don't know. I see horrors from drugs.

Justi......
It's so difficult for some of us to understand how anyone could sink to such depths of despair......let alone comprehending the emotional avalanche unleashed by experiencing such an event!

Thank you so much for your comment. It surely is so much more difficult to stop than to prevent it's happening but that needs to begin at birth almost. Be blessed lovely lady.

Hopefully they will not be touched by drugs. They will be without a father; however if the father never makes to get off drugs he would not be able to do the best by them either. God help them all.

It is horrible when someone wants with all their hearts to change and making a decision is like blowing on a feather. To see them make the smallest change is such a blessing. Thank you for your kind comment.

I am sure it is terrible for the helpers when nothing they say makes a difference and they want so much to make a difference. Bless you for trying to make it go away!

This is so sad and as a mum and teacher Ive seen kids go down this road too
often.  There are no easy answers.  The most loving parents have kids who turn to drugs but theres also a large number of kids brought to this by uncaring drug addict parents themselves.  I can see a few small, possibly helpful ways.educating kids and parents about the dangers of drug abuse, getting families back to God,being as loving and encouraging as we can to troubled kids, finding positive ways for kids to be occupied and have purpose in their lives as the devil finds work for idle hands, and most of all having some preventative programmes in place.  its much harder to stop than never to have started.

This is so sad, Justi
What an awful thing.   I think this must be the family you mentioned in the email to me.  I am praying for them.

You are doing good work, Justi, you and your husband. It is very
uplifting and encouraging.

How awful

I guess that when somebody gives up on their life, it reaches a point of no return and there's not much you could do.

I've dealt with depression cases like that and it's so frustrating when you want the other person to realize that there is hope, that the world is not going to end.

Sometimes you think you can't make it but we can with the help of Jesus.  Will you say a little prayer for them?

It is a waste if we can't rescue them. I am so sorry when I hear one has lost the battle. Thank you for your comment.

Wasted Youth
Something has to be done to get the young ones away from drugs.  There's too many stories about drug raids and drug deals gone wrong.  There's too many people suffering including the user from being on or around drugs and too many people losing their lives over it.  Something has to be done.  Otherwise, more tragedy will follow.  :(

It is a very sad thing when violence gets us on one side and drugs on the other. There are answers I don't always know what they are but there are more good people than bad.
