Play the guitar...
But in the vein of Jimmy Hendrix, Andres Segovia and Chet Atkins with a little Stevie Ray Vaughn, like that.

lovelyladymonk,

Actually, I would love to do it but there are so many other things in my life right now that I'd rather do and am doing that I don't care if I never learn if it means that I can do what I am doing right now.

Thanks for your advice, though.  It's good advice and a year or two ago I would probably have taken it.  It's interesting the turns our lives take and, right now, I am so enjoying my grandchildren and excited about those to come and that is something I do not want to put off.

Thoughts of freedom there, Christy. Things I've not done since I was a kid like ride a bike and ice-skate. Swimming I do 3 or 4 times a week and it's one of my greatest pleasures. As for something I'd really like to do, I don't wish for anything more than I've got at the moment. It's a very fine state of mind to be in, but it's one that I've worked hard to achieve. Giving up mainstream teaching and going for it with the workshops business is the thing that's really freed me in life. I have time to write now. I enjoy my work now. We have our second home in Keswick to go to when we want to. My family gives me pleasure. My friends are secure and good. I don't wish for anything more at the moment. Life is very, very good.

Remind me, won't you, but one day I will attempt to describe riding a bike and skating in words that you can enjoy.

Tara.

Hi, RAME.  Very nice to see you again.  I must apologise to you, I've been very bad about reading a lot of people lately, including you.  How are you?  Musical instruments is the one thing I forgot to add to my list.  I used to be able to play the piano a bit, but can't now.

Hey, don't put it off!  If you want to learn to play, go ahead and do it!  Life is so short, and too many of us put off doing what we really want to because life leads us in so many different directions.

lovelyladymonk,
It would be to play a musical instrument.  I've never learned how and evertime I think I may have some time to take it up, something else comes along that I feel is more important.
