To continue . . . in a modern world where food distribution is inequitable, to deprive one's self of proper nourishment is pointless.

kooka_lives - I think fasting falls into the same category as when those

Muslim knuckleheads beat themselves with chains.  

The point being to suffer partially the same discomfort as their religious icons have. There is also an association with cleansing and purifying, as well as the removal of all distractions while demonstrating a certain level of dedication in worshipping the mythical big guy. Is it Bulls#it? Absolutely, considering that it accomplishes nothing more than making the individual think that they have demonstrated something to their mythical God and maybe their friends. I don't fast, but maybe we need to ask around what the advantages of fastin
are or what is the point about fasting? i wuld like to hear them out too!
