I think you both missed my point.
What I was aiming at was the contrast between the two approaches - make nice to a country that wants to kill us, and take the hard line against one of the greatest forces for good in our own country. Expensive or not, face it - we have the world's best healthcare system and the world's leading pharmaceutical industry, and Edwards wants to treat it like the enemy and our enemies as friends.

Comment on Edwards: Negotiate with Iran, Go to War with Pharmaceutical Comp
WriterofLight: I would be extremely wary of attacking Iran right now.  The current Prime Minister's party lost many seats in the Iranian Parliament last year.  Let the people of Iran decide their own political fate.  Regarding drug companies, I'm a user of nutritional supplements and they are better than conventional medications without the adverse side effects.

There are many people going without
There many people who are going without necessary medications in this country because they can't afford them. I am glad someone is willing to make it a priority. I'm not saying that issues in the middle east should be ignored but I hate to think someone's aging parent or small child might get very sick or die without a medication that is necessary to their well being.
