I agree with Nautikos just relax and know this is a part of it. Know you are welcome and that you are missed at home as well.

That's definitely to be expected when you're so far way from home and everything you know. And we all need a good cry now and then. Maybe you should write down the things you DON'T like about home to make you feel better. Or better yet, just send me a plane ticket and I'll gladly go check it out for you to make sure you still remember it correctly.

Find a nice Irish pub and have a Guinness,
!
Seriously though, I can understand it, I think it's an inevitable reaction! And it will take a while until you think of where you are now as 'home.' And maybe that will happen only when, after a few years, you go back for a visit, and find that it isn't any longer what it was, that your imagination remembers it differently...

I found I was very nostalgic when I was in the USA for a spell, but
it's only an idealised version of home we become attached to. I know that coz when I went back home I hated it! It sounds like you're enjoying things on the whole.

Sorry, Cringe, the extreme bout of homesick will soon fade a bit,
but home is always in the back of your mind, the longing to see it is there somewhere under the busy-ness and clutter of the here and now. Take out the album, look at the pictures and wallow for a few minutes.
