Excellent post, Matie. Love the Kissinger quote; nothing like a glimpse
into the mindset of one of the most influential men (politically) in the latter part of the 20th century. Pinochet's tenure definitely was a contradiction unto itself -- brutal, repressive, yet marked with economic growth. Historically speaking, September 11 doesn't seem to have been a very good day...

Well-done. You know where I stand on this - as a more secular leaning rightist, I certainly don't claim to have God on "our" side - but you did an admirably balanced job here, in my opinion!
