Talion - I actually read that post and was going to comment but got called
away as I was doing so.
It may have subliminally influenced this post though the commenting I reference took place the day before. I recently saw a discussion on CNN about this subject, just as it is remarkable that so many Christians don't know that Jews have never acknowledged Jesus Christ as being the son of God, even though he was Jewish, they also collectively have never considered that slagging non believers the way they do could be considered as bigotry.

I touched on this topic in my post yesterday. We're moving away from race and such, but there's always going to be some method of distinguishing
us from
them. That is the reality of society and human nature.

Xeno-x - not being able to handle the return volley is one thing that has
repeatedly surprised me.
Time and time again I have had commenters open with an insult and not only become completely taken aback when they receive an insult in return, accuse me of throwing the first stone. There's one chucklehead still wandering around this site claiming to all that will listen that I called him a retard, while conveniently leaving out the part that he began the dialogue in question with an equally insulting remark. I thought most people grew out of this in the playground? Apparently this natural growth from childlike immaturity doesn't apply to some folks who have been socially conditioned to disparage all who are outside of their religious beliefs.

they can dish it out
but they can't take it.
quite a few think you are attacking them when you point out an error.
but then again, you know that Church Doctrine is without error. You have had that "rulered" into the back of your hand a couple of times I would suppose.
