Julia, I didn't find my love with a love spell and I don't believe that's
the way to do it. Let nature take its course. That's the way.

no there isn't anything wrong with that, and I know a whole lot of people who could really use one!

true love is a myth? Oh lord, please say it isn't so!

I love this piece.
I don't believe that there is such a thing as a love spell either. If we love ourselves first, we can find love; I know that I did. I believe that anyone else can too. I love this piece.

A self-love spell. Now there's an idea. Nothing wrong with that!

Great post!
That definitely shed some light over my troubled love life. Thank you!

I think the average love spell is as effective as any of the
by guess and by golly methods I've tried. Love (true love, long-lasting, loyal and dedicated) is more or less a myth, a magical, mysterious unattainable thing given the methods we use to choose. Is he cute? Can he dance? What kind of car does he drive? Will he tick off my parents, because that would make him REALLY attractive? Come right down to the bottom line, a love spell -- if you believe it will work -- will work.

I don't mind the long comment in the least. I think (if it were possible) to cast a spell for love, it would be every bit as empty and unfulfilling as the feeling one gets from a seduction that resulted in purely physical intimcacy, i.e. one without the heart.

You are certainly right about loving yourself before someone can..I don't know if even a spell could take that away.

Very interesting post Julia.,
I do believe in supernatural power (God, miracles), so I would never discount black magic...I guess it is called. I dont' know ANYTHING about witchcraft per say. But, I do believe in divinity...yes, I know some people say hogwash, we manifest our own destinies, but I believe we do manifest our destinies as well. So, for the sake of argument, let's not discount any belief; black, white or technicolor; (That is truly not the point) but hear me out; I believe we possess an innate intelligence-knowing all truth that is for our benefit to gain all blessings in life. Blessings may also be to learn lessons the 'hard way' so they stick! Blessings also may be something we need to give of ourselves. I would not appreciate abundance unless I first was without; I would not know love, unless I first loved. I would not be able to receive if I was not giving. God's principals of reciprocity.
I don't quite understand how anyone could 'trick' someone into loving them or why they would want to (cast a spell), if that were possible. Any love such as that would be temporal & not eternal. (It reminds me of physically seducing a man). I know some men can be seduced and may hang onto a relationship for sex (as well as woman), but you can only have sex so many hours a day (right?)....truly loving someone must come from the heart. If you've ever seen the 'look of love' in someone's eyes when you're watching them watch the one they love; that is love coming from the heart projected through the eyes. It doesn't matter what I look like, how I dress or what I do, but who I know I am......first learning to 'love yourself' can be confusingly difficult for people to understand. The love one feels for themselves in self-fulfilling; if I care for my health, I will be healthy, if my work is passionate, I will be passionate. If I love life, life will love me in return. The 'instruction book' for finding love is self-fulfilling because we don't need to look for love, if we are loving, love will find us, God's principal of reciprocity again.
I'm done rattling...sorry for taking so much space. Just my two cents worth! ~Blessings~

You wrote, "This love spell bolsters up the positive feelings you already possess rather than falsely creating them in others." I think I've had this a time or two. The guy behind the bar called it
tequila.

Ariala--
of course you can say that--I was trying to be funny with that line, hehe.
I'm not sure about the other--I see no harm in praying to meet someone special, but if you cast a spell, then I think you probably are messing with someone else's will--you just don't know WHO it is at the time you cast the spell!

Can I say that your first line made me chuckle! Cute:
"I'm not a witch, nor do I play one on TV." hahaha
As for love spells, I think people can pray, wish, cast spells for someone special without directing it at someone in particular...maybe in that sense, no one's "will" is messed with and it's more ethical?
