I wish your brother and sister-in-law the best. Children truly are a blessing . . . you just don't know it while your raising them.

I've never experienced anything like that so there's not much I can say (my wife and I don't have kids).
My younger brother's wife suffered a miscarriage a few years ago. The fear that it could happen again left them gunshy, but they're trying again. Since I seriously doubt I'll ever be a father, a niece or nephew wouldn't be bad.
