cantey is right. These people use their beliefs to justify their actions,
although their actions are simple manifestations of their fears and insecurities. I had two cousins (males) who were gay. I liked them fine. The family whispered behind their hands about it, but nobody shunned or ostracized these two guys. I liked them both, went to school with one. The other eventually committed suicide (we still do not know why; he left no note). All of my people are Baptists, but, unlike many of that backward faith, they didn't shun or ostracize (just gossiped). Now, getting pregnant and doing drugs could get you kicked out of the house, however, as a teenager...

I dont bel;ieve that belief in God itself causes such
stupidity, but instead it justifies (in their mind) inherant fears, hate and anger. It is tragic that belief in God in any form can facilitate such madness.

Kooka, I have a friend who is a lesbian. I accept her for who she is.
I am saddened that sexual preference divides many families.
