joab1 - that's a good analogy - it is all about money and really nothing
more.
Though there are legions of dupes who go about their witnessing and canvassing for subscription duties without ever fully realizing this.

Antonionioni - the exclusive part is rather ironic and more than a bit of a
contradiction.
Where the creationists attempt to insist that they only want the "truth" to be told in science classes (which is funny enough in itself), the exclusion of all other versions of God in their agenda lays bare the motives of that agenda. If in fact creation is an alternative to all other origins theories and supposedly of equal status to real scientific theories such as the scientific theory of evolution, how is it that all of its elements are ridgid and beyond question or revision?
I like the new James Bond (Daniel Craig), mostly because he replaced Pierce Brosnan who has to be the worst of all of them.

Maybe creationists are right?
Arguing the "finer" points of any religion -- pick a number -- is just like pissing on a forest fire hoping to "contain" it. I do not believe any true religion exists these days. It is becoming little better than the used car market. And we know used car dealers don't stretch the truth.

Roger moore was a terrible Bond. So was Connery, who never bothers to
change his Scottish accent no matter who he plays. It's hard to think of any decent Bonds - I'd have to concede that Connery was the best, simply because it was closer to the time when the books were written and was therefore more authentic and relevant, and of course, he had the best of the Ian Fleming stories to act out. As for God - well, God sounds to me like a generic name anyway, so it's ironic that worshippers of 'God' should be so exclusive of other gods.
