Fred Thompson for President, really?
Right now Thompson is the camel with his nose inside the tent, what follows is logical; but these are very illogical times. joab

Re: He's smart. He's staying off of this political boredom train as long as he
The funny thing is he's already taking fire. Because everyone knows that he's running since he asked to be taken off of Law and Order, he's assembled a campaign team, he's fund-raising already and doing all the leg work. So they've already started to attack him especially since he's running on such an ultra conservative platform and they've unearthed documents proving that he's supported abortion rights and a few other liberal agendas. He's just dealing with a legal gray area at this point because I assume he believes it will be to his benefit to keep himself out of the official debates until he knows how to answer questions and how he's going to field all of the accusations that are going to come at him. Sorry this reply was too long. I apologize.

Re: Dickinson?
I'm pretty sure the reruns can continue to run in other countries - they just have to pull them from ours so he will still be receiving residual checks not that the residuals really matter too much to him at this point considering the amount of money he already has.

Re: Dickinson?
Yes they will - there's some law that each candidate must receive equal air time and apparently the episodes of Law and Order would fall into that category so they say that once he officially declares his candidacy they have to pull the reruns so as to not unduly favor him on air.

Dickinson?
Will the reruns stop once he announces? Then he may as well make some more residuals.

He's smart. He's staying off of this political boredom train as long as he
can. Once he commits, he'll start taking fire...
