He hasn't said much about his folks to they guys on the boat. He's very careful with what information he gives out. He won't even talk to Adriene as much as she would like.

Crabbing can be quite involved. The guys of the boat are always there.
And remember that guys often go away from the family (since time immemorial) in order to hunt and/or make a living. He has his hunter-tribe up there in the icy waters.... Still, it would be nice to get him to come down once in a while....
