Hi, Whoru

The amount posted is the total.  I have been rather haphazardly writing since my first year here, and the most I made was around $100 in a year.

If someone made $5000, it was with many blogs. You'll see  that some people have literally dozens of blogs, grandfathered from the time until just before I joined, when there was no limit to how many you could post.  Personally, I would like to have more than 5 for the ~$20 payment per month.  As it is, I have cut back a little, and went to only one for a few months.

Also, the writers that do really well in the pennies department are seriously dedicated writers.  Occasional writers and commenters are not likely to make big pennies!

Good luck with your efforts!

If you go visit the readers you lost, and comment on their blogs, you will possibly find they will come visit you, too.

Re: Speaking as another blogger, not any sort of Blogit authority,
I have learned to write down names of those who comment etc so I remember you. I will be sure to check out your blogs. I think I lost 14 readers by deleting Journal & non fiction but I thought they would pick up on "on writers". Maybe I was wrong & those two were just picking up. So one question--you've been a member since 12/04. Is the amount you have made so far since 12/04 or for the month. Before I signed up they told me the most they ever paid someone in a month was $5000.00. I find that hard to believe. Thank you.

Speaking as another blogger, not any sort of Blogit authority,

my notion of having different blogs is to post different things.  If readers like a post in one blog, it is quite possible they will be interested enough to go look into your other blogs to see what else you have to say.  If they find the same thing in all of them, they will quit looking at any but one.

To get your blogs noticed, it is helpful to read others and make comments in the ones that interest you.  I often express my appreciation to those who have commented in mine by visiting theirs, and commenting, or at least saying thanks there.
