I think we worry too much about our athletes well being. They are adults. Let them make adult decisions like the rest of us.

I suppose...
It is next to impossible to keep athletes from using performance enhancing substances, but if steroids are legalized and everyone uses them, what will be the next teir of enhancers used to gain an advantage? The question needs to be asked, where will it end? Just a thought.
Professional athletes and the money involved assure that there will always be those that try to gain an advantage.

growler - You make a very good argument. I agree with you. They're
using them anyway. Only thing frightens me is the possibility of taking too much on their own, but then again, that would be their choice. Good post.
