No, no - I mean cat, cats - not human woman, but cats. To Offy's comment about "getting a pussy," you said something like, "I'm not going to get into that!" Is that really what you meant to say?! LOL!

The reason our cats are in control is because we know they
don't need us. We dare not take them for granted. They can manage perfectly well on their own, thank you very much! Unlike our faithful mutt which needs food, water, approval and forgiveness, and grows despondent if we're gone too long, Miss Kitty always has a Plan B.

Neat post. I watch my two sleuthing around in the yard and know they are still wild and George and I are male and female can openers and back scratchers. They are so pretty and graceful I don't mind being their servants within reason.

Of course I've known all along that cats domesticated humans, LOL. In my house, I am merely the "cat butler."

Pitiful may have been removed from the jungle but the jungle was never removed from her. She doesn't do anything she doesn't want to do. No one has ever been able to give her a bath. No one can pick her up. She gets on my lap when its her choice. She lets son pet her on the floor. She avoids everyone else.

Dear Naut. No person in their right mind would ever try to be superior to
cat. That's why some people don't appreciate them, that's why I adore them. My cat was almost twenty when she died and the loss still haunts me. You never won a cat....they choose you. Loved this post and I actually didn't know that they have been around for that long.

Our Mister Cat has me trained to get up every morning at 3am to feed him breakfast!! I've trained myself to go back to sleep. Unbelievable! (P.S. Hey, I'm back and glad to be here again. Thanks for the update on the "Katrina' photo- hmmm- me, the misinformed.)

Again, the old sayings on the back of 'Siúcra' packets come in to play,
(siúcra being Irish for sugar).
'It's for it's own good that a cat purrs'. The Egyptians were quite probably right to revere them, and you quite correct in pointing out that they patiently waited for a crop of monkeys to grow better thumbs in order to keep their milk dishes topped up.
