no truer words are spoken "it's all about the money".

It's what you get when you have a government that's corporate-bought and
paid for, Sunny.  It's all about the money...

I just can't believe everything that has been going on.

Yeah, proc, but that too may be ending soon since the Chinese have a
lock on American debt, have a huge surplus of gold, and also have been storehousing a massive cash reserve of American dollars.  According to some economists, if China decided to call in money owed on their underwriting of American national debt or starting playing with that cash reserve, the American economy could go to hell fairly quickly.

the goods from China are not only dangerous but because they
are mass produced so cheaply they are affecting jobs here in new zealand.businesses close down and unemployment soars as cheaper stuff comes from China.  but who is going to stop it.  The almighty dollar always has the last say.

Yes, danieljulie, but recalls of Chinese goods have become a regular
thing...

No, kingmi. They've leapfrogged into a capitalist system, disregarding
international manufaturing standards and circumventing human rights.  They are exploiting their massive population and coal reserves to become a world player.  And, given their ridiculous trade surplus with many countries (including the U.S.) and their even more ridiculous financial reserves (including gold), they've become an economic threat and potential economic destabilizer.  At present, they're the bull in the international china shop (forgive the awkward pun)...

My pleasure, circuit. I have nothing against China, just that they need to
raise their manufacturing and processing standards (and stop trading with Iran and Sudan).

Nothing is perfect in this world...
Recall history has been massive headlines everywhere. Thomas train aslo have the same problem with the toy recall.

saulrelative, okl I had a different thought. Free
Enterprise is new to the People's Republic. Perhaps they are learning the hard way how to play with the big boys.

Take that President Hu Jintao and that chip on your shoulder!
