No offense taken, Frankenkitty. It should always scare the hell out of us
when the leader of the world's most powerful nation might be suffering from a form of dementia.  Just like our current president...

Everytime I think of Reagan
and nukes in the same thought, I picture that Genesis video where Reagan was a puppet. No offense, it's just what pops in my head.  Have a great evening

Thank you, Nautikos. I try for realism in this age of ideology...

Pakistan is a president away. Iran is a bomb away. Delivery vehicles will
not be that hard to come by...

Greed and dominion, OTA. Everything humans do seems to gravitate
around money and power.  Eliminate the desire for both, then you'll have peace.

It would be an ugly mess for sure
But I don't know of a religious extremists state that has long term delivering capability..

We have to hope and pray they never do either...

For the most part, joab, I don't think most Muslims have a death wish --
just the more extreme.  And it isn't actually a death wish -- to them it is a sacrifice for god and their perception of the greater good (restoring and expanding the umma).  However, partially because of this assinine Iraqi war, the number of politically and militarily active extremists (mosly Sunni, by the way) has risen dramatically.  We can thank an ignorant president and an overly ambitious (and ignorant) administration for believing they could simply export capitalism and democracy without incurring a backlash...

If A Nation Led By Religious Extremists
I do not disagree.  But there's always the possibility.  And if the foe already has a pseudo-religious death wish . . . who knows what transpires inside their skewed minds?  Certainly not the ultimate fear -- death.  I just don't know.  joab

True, Saul, it's hard to imagine a state employing nukes.
Or any sane person with anything to lose.
