WavyDavy -- what its about
you will find in the very first verse the death of Buddy Holly.
Then you find something of a history: from Elvis through the Beatles through 60's rock (several song titles, such at 8 Miles High) and Vietnam, Altamont, and it would seem the violent end of the era, maybe with the deaths of Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy (3 men I admire most [hint at John Kennedy?]).
You have to listen and you also have to tune to rock history.

Xeno-x: A co-worker told me that American Pie is about the deaths of Richie Valens, Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper? Is this true?
