Just when I thought things were getting dull around here. It seems the super hero analogy is something of a trend. Once again it boggles the mind.

Sunnybeach7 - we can only hope that they will neutralize each other but the
sad reality is that they may destroy this earth in the process.

Soul_Builder101 - that's just a moronic comment
"You have a lot to learn. PLEASE START!"
In keeping with your comic book vernacular, you self parody with an attempt to be clever. Aside from the fact that no one can possibly know someone else's "INNARDS" simply from their blog postings, you expose yourself as just another booksmart brain dead teacher with comments such as this. You are not speaking to one of your teenage wards here bucko, I may in fact have a lot to learn, as we all do but I have learned that to condescend from a position of comical self anointed grandeur is a sure fire way to embarrass one's self.

Gome
I guess without all the differences in views, people wouldn't have anything to kill each other over.
Just think of how it saves in overpopulation.
Maybe one day, all the fundies will kill each other off, and we'll have a peaceful world?

Soul_Builder101 - The Donald Trump part was a joke, it does not surprise me
however that you missed that not so subtle point as well.
I didn't realize we were into analyzing each other, geez I hardly know you, but since you have opened this door, be prepared for the return volley. You have an acidic nature to most of your comments, at least what I have seen so far, this tendency quite often skirting the boundaries of insulting. This little foible of your inter-social skills matters not to me though, as I find you quite humorous. The chuckles started when I first saw your user name which can be taken a number of different ways, until of course one reads your posts. Then it becomes crystal clear that you assume a position of superior spiritual acuity, seeming to be intent on setting the rest of us flawed humans on the right path. Good luck with that one, soul building 101 or the first step on the path to spiritual enlightenment should be humility. . . . should it not?
You do have two things right in your comment, I do have a materialistic view of things. That is hardly an insult however to someone who has spent their adult life managing businesses and finally your closing two words are bang on. "IT WAS" as in past tense when referring to the middle east as the cradle of civilization. I must say, you are one entertaining individual.

You cannot GOME!
You have a materialistic view of things and you write in the same trend. Eastern...whether middle or full eastern..... do not relate to the world or their immediate environment in a meterialist way. The righteous according to their Holy Books is important. Your seeming intellectual approach to dissecting their world is invalid. Donald Trump, that materialist cannot flash his millions there unless he meets with corrupt officials. The cradle of civilization, was not mis-named. IT WAS!

Soul_Builder101 - I'll never understand what possesses people like you to
come to the conclusions that you do.
Is it the fact that there is no entry point provided in this posting for you to refute opinions that you don't like to hear? For the record, I would be considered the athetesis of ethnocentric and my knowledge of both the middle east and eastern philosophies may not be considered extensive but still above average. (I've actually been there) I do however like your closing words, "NUFF SAID!" . . . initiated into North American culture by comic book creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby as the signature catch phrase for Nick Fury of Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos (circa 1963). I guess if you want to suggest that someone is limited in their perspective or understanding by calling them ethnocentric, you can always quote comic books to make your case . . . too funny.

my anthropological take on it is that religion and resources are a marriage
an inseparable marriage. tis why i prefer 'earth-friendly' religions. of all religions the class at the top of the food chain, the 'paternal, monotheistic' is the most
dangerous type.
