It sounds as if it is just time for the butterfly to go on.

It sounds as if it is just time for the butterfly to go on.  I still enjoyed your beautiful poem about it.  I think that you write beautiful poems.

Yes I carried her home in the palm of my hand....and she's comfy in her own open container, and still alive I'm praying for a miracle Mary.

I couldn't help feeling remorse and sadness, she needs to be dancing on the wind.

Re: Dear Irish3,Lady of Butterfly Beauty, yr friends have said it all & w/ pics
I started this day with a smile, the day ended with a frustrating frown....My butterfly is still alive at this moment, and each time she moves her wings I have hope she will find strength to fly away and renew my smile and my hope.

Dear Irish3,Lady of Butterfly Beauty, yr friends have said it all & w/ pics
I have thought almost exactly the same thing, and found solace in how Joy! Mary saw this incident. Did you know that butterflies seldom live byond 4-7 weeks! And in that time...they pass alll they need to their own kind, plants and to us. How miraculous! We sometimes do damge to Nature and others because we think we are the center of the Creation....but millions of beautiful plants and creatures live and die without human eyes, ears and hands ever sensing them in far off deserts and forests! They may live 5 weeks, but Gid deems that is enough for their work. And work they do, bees, ants, butterflies and others. See....how I have been inspired, though I was busy in the day to read until now. ShalomyFriend

So beautiful!  You know you are truly alive when a suffering butterfly can invoke a reaction, emotion, and ultimately this tender poem.

Irish - And butterflies live so you can write a lovely poem about them!

Did this happen?  My wee one has always been fascinated by bugs, etc.  She has several bug boxes in where she keeps everything from worms to ladybugs.  She has several caterpillars in the cocoon stage right now.  I'm anxiously awaiting news of births!  Ha ha.
