Hi Whacky

You know Huck is a great guy. He lives on forever and what a good friend he is to us all, all us kids..  Ruff to Bo the Wonder Dog. Thanks for dropping by.

Hi Dave

It is nice to hear form you and the overflowing rivers may be unwelcomed. It is great to have a favorite river and River Derwent near Keswick sounds really appealing. Could you tell me more about it?

Hi Ariala

Landlocked isn't bad when any storm comes and you can always travel to see the water. In fact it is a good time now to visit the ocean, maybe even a large river would be nice.  Thanks for dropping by.

Hi FoliageGodl (ML)

It sounds wonderful, your skating on the river.  It sounds almost like Curier and Ives cards, so lovely (hope I spelled that correctly). Best write that down, sounds like a good story.

Peace,

Lou

Re: Lou

Hi Offy

Hope your rain is pleasant and no storms today.

I think the river does make us sentimental and romantic- It is always moving and you gotta catch it as she goes, never a minute to look back.

All our rivers are overflowing at the moment, but my fave has to be the River Derwent near Keswick.

I've always had a fascination for water, any body of water, and living by a

river sounds heavenly to me!

Lou - I used to live along the shores of the Ottawa River and it was a busy
time no matter what season.  Every New Year's the men would clear a large space for skating and put up lights.  We'd have an outdoor skating party.  Fun!

I was born by the Ohio river but don't remember anything about it too much. I love the romance associated with it though...Always love "Tom Sawyer" and his adventures with Huck Finn on the old Mississppi...Have fun today...we are going to storm (but we need it)
