JUST A THOUGHT
Although many of the points you make are sensible, they would seem more objective if you exclude the labeling - liberals, conservatives, et al. I suggest you state your points and support them. The 'conversation stopper' approach minimizes the effect you would otherwise have.
Remember The Constitution gives anyone the right to be whatever he or she wants to be provided treason is not a part of the mix.

Wavy,
I just think the Army is worried about protecting every solider we put in combat. They would like to, but they just can't. From a military point of view, and a view from a lot of the liberals, this war has been fought wonderfully by our troops. Why even the great Barbara Streisand thought we'd have many more killed than we did.

Doesn't it take time to develop a new vehicle? To tool up the factories to produce it?
