Re: My own typo...just shows "Preacher teach thyself first". I need spellcheck
Hi Neil--you are a good teacher-(you make me work-researching dictionary etc.ha ha).I have looked up the word--ellipsis--"the omission of words needed to complete a meaning or a grammatical construction".We use 'dashes'-ie.ellipsis>Many thanks.I checked out the haiku site and everything is written in SMALL case-(but nowhere does it say you have to)And-they do use ellipsis! However-where they referred to the American paper-the New York Times-they used upper case as I have here.Shalomfromchrisscramble.

My own typo...just shows "Preacher teach thyself first". I need spellcheck
I do not myself know the lellipses, but the use of dashes for punctuation - as I may have used it and now use it again - can take the place of commas. I think these DASHES --- are called ellipses. Sorry, I did not yet use the spellcheck for the correct spelling of ellipse! shalomfromneildurbin

Re: Chris....beautiful.....
Irish3--thank you so much for your response! No-I never considered the black feather to be a flaw-I'll explain! We 'bought' in a few Snow white Doves and built them a Dovecott.Late last year a wild wood pidgeon moved in amongst them and has stayed and bred with them! Now-one of the youngsters has one coloured feather(I think it's black or at least very dark)and you don't see it-until it is preening it'self! I love it!So pleased the other Doves have accepted the wood pidgeon!

Hi Durbin-ah-success at last! So pleased you like it!I will certainly chech the haiku site re;lower cases/punctuation etc.(I am afraid in my ignorance-I have to ask yet another question---what are 'lellipses? I can't find that word in dictionary)Shalom my dear friend.

Chris....beautiful.....
Pure and white yet is the black feather a flaw or rather originality beckoning, I see originality, and endless possibilities.....love the post thank you.

I sometimes stick out like that feather....Beautiful indeed (if you check the internet, let me know if haiku uses all lower cases letters and no punctuation except lellipses) Shalom
