Antonio-yo-yo - You've got a few layers going on in this one. The drumming
and the insistent march of time and missing the 'beats' or 'counts' of things consumed. Well done!

Thank you for commenting in my blog. Yes, "Israel" was a new 'style' I was trying out. Glad it worked.

"lawnmower opiate" - now how clever is that?!?! Time... it's a strange thing. Sometimes we notice its movement and on other occassions it slips away on us. Truly great sonnet, my friend.

Hi Kabu - is that so - obviously a determined chap.
There;s something about learning an instrument, especially drums, that requires a lot of determination, because it doesn't produce notes, so it must be hard to motivate yourself.

I'm pleased it gave you food for thought, Neil, as long as it's not
chocolate! Thanks for your kind words. I agree about the sonnets. I've seen modern sonnets and they can be about anything!

I lived this ....my estranged son is a drummer. He's very successful here in Sydney but Mum spent many hours listening to this.

Tony -
If I had to count all of the chocolate and booze I've consumed, well, let's just say I would be to busy to blog for a few years!

'How long's infinity?'&'We count our lovers...not booze or chocolate' Loved
these lines...I must again credit you with offering me everyday thoughts and topics for haiku. The bard had somehow misled me that sonnets are only for love/emotions...butlet me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments! shalomfromneil

Hi Dave...Who's Thomas Dylan? Oh, I see... derrrr. Silly me.
Yep, it's been nice today - very hot, for a change. Got me shorts on. Good to hear you've got more work, especially up this end.

Very Dylanesque today. (Thomas, not Bob) Very nice.
We saw the sun in Huddersfield today. Hope you had some your side.
Have got some work at Oakwood school over your way in September now to add to St George's and Irlam. Toodloo.
