Is it any wonder that al-Qaeda is Reportedly Getting Stronger?
Al-Qaeda is getting stronger because of our involvement in Iraq. This is exactly what bin Laden wants. Americans in Iraq and possibly going to Iran. He wants a global jihad. If we focused exclusively on Afghanistan right from the beginning, we possibly could have captured him. Bush got impatient because we weren't able to capture him right away. However, capturing him won't stop Al-Qaeda completely. Like the Mafia in this country and different types of street gangs, the minute you bump off their head honcho; they just have someone else waiting in the wings to replace him. Al-Qaeda and terrorism in general has to die from within. The Muslims have to come to their senses and realize that jihad isn't the way to go. The Soviet Union destroyed itself internally. The same thing will happen to these fanatical Muslims like bin Laden and his mullah cohorts. I agree with Ron Paul's views regarding the war. They came over here because we were over there and still are over there. America, come home!
