Talion - it really does boggle the mind
I often wonder if these people have any realization at all as to what extent their thought processes are controlled by religious group think? In writing this little half hearted series of names I have been called, I have been taking a trip down memory lane. There sure have been some entertaining people that have sauntered through this forum. It is remarkable when they are all added up, we are not speaking of one or two crazies here but rather dozens of them, maybe into the hundreds. ....our species is doomed.

Well, you already know where I stand concerning the whole supposed nihilism philosophy, the "iconoclast" title, and your "master plans" for writing this blog. What I continually witness does little to change my hypothesis. If anything, it only confirms it. Even after all this time, it still boggles my mind.

Chyrlann - that's one thing I never fully understood, apologizing for the

actions of strangers:

"I apologize for anyone who may have characterized you according to your beliefs." You have nothing to apologize for, these are individuals who don't fully understand their own religious message.

Nothing wrong with throwing around "large words" in a writer's forum and I thank you for the kind words. I've long since given up on any notions of being the second coming of John Steinbeck but it is nice to know that I can put what I am trying to say to print.

saul_relative - I have infinite patience for those of less intellectual

acumen than myself, in the hope that I am afforded the same consideration.

But I have little regard for those who are willfully ignorant and are proactive in efforts to maintain that ignorance. Especially when it involves me buying into it. I feel the same way as you do, we are attempting to continually educate ourselves, to grow, to learn more and expand. It has been my experience in life that the very last place that any of these efforts will be realized, is within religious constructs.

Name calling & labeling, criticizing and demeaning others is not the character of the God of my truth, in any form.  I apologize for anyone who may have characterized you according to your beliefs.  There will always be bad apples.  We couldn't appreciate the good ones without the bad. (?)

I won't write another chapter.  I also apologize for taking up your space & time.  I was attempting to introduce myself through the explanation of my origin & character. I have no right to judge, beautifully flawed & foibled as I be...am not here to shove my beliefs, convince anyone of anything, but to learn, get varying perspectives and support other writers as they support me.

This forum, unlike the writers or authors of published articles or books of our choosing, involves the character & understanding of the 'friends' or acquaintances we are supporting or receiving support from, somewhat, at least more so than a stranger's published works. That is why I'm here.  I believe others may be here because they enjoy the debate, believe it is their duty to save souls or otherwise.

I don't attempt to throw around large words....although my vocabulary is growing.  I just wanted to say, you write well.  Your posts are easy to read (roll off the tongue), your explanations are brief & decisive and you easily get your point across while expressing detail....that's all.  Have a nice day.

Excellent post -- as always. Contextualizing one's thoughts in order to
convey is imperative in the well-structured sentence.  Why else construct the sentence?  I'm beginning to believe that willful ignorance is blissful, gomedome, but it sure is a pain in the ass for those of us who like a little intellectual stimulation and are forced to experience it in the hope of reciprocating meaningful dialogue.  Personally, I abhor ignorance and attempt to rectify it as much as I can within the confines of my own mind (knowing, of course, that it is a neverending job -- but I must persist, you understand).  Would that others at least make a half-hearted attempt.  Maintain the good fight, my friend.

Xeno-x - the really sad part is that this particular blogger, whom I think

is no longer with us, thought themselves rather clever.

There were lots of big words used erroneously or out of context. They say that BS baffles brains but it is particularly sad when it is a person's own brain that they are baffling.

re: nihilist
the writer probably also didn't know what the word meant.

The worst thing is to use a word you don't know in a context you don't know anything about either.
