What a great post. I find Buddhism interesting, and should probably learn more about it. I also think God goes by many names, and I don't necessarily believe in one mighty being who passes judgment, a la Santa Claus. Hey - my last story (not the current one, but the widow one) got TAPS, who never reads fiction, to say she might just be addicted to doing so. Cool! Anyway, just glad you're okay!

MiaElla - Jesus as a gentle guide......what a lovely way to put that.
What an inspiring post!  I too, have found people of whom practise Buddism to be such peaceful souls and I'm always feeling very calm around them.  By the grace of God you were protected, yes, I believe in this whole-heartedly.  When times get tough we can remember these instances and feel grateful for what we do have.  And what we can have.  And we can choose peace as you've shown through this absolutely beautiful post.  Well done.

Thank you for the inspiring post
Budhism is about limiting sorrows. I find some good elements in all religions. Christianity has care and service for the poor and orphans and first order cleanliness. I love sikh gurudwaras for sweet soft classical prayers and that you may get meals round the clock there wherever you come from. In Hinduism there is lot of tolerance and range of gods to worship. You are even allowed to criticise or deny god. This is most democratic.I have not been to a mosque because they don't allow non-muslims to pray there.
