Gavel...

I've never been a soldier so I can't tell you I know how that feels. My father was in the air force and had a penchant for using his fists. There were many times I bandaged my own wounds and splinted a few broken fingers before I moved out on my own when I was fifteen so I know what that feels like. I know it's not the same, but the effect on your mentality is about the same level. I'm not going to sing "Climb Every Mountain" but from what I've read of your writing etc, it seems you're making your way. Nice to have you writing again.

PS- Shooter was awesome. I like the part where the guy was trying to convince him to let things go and he said, "They shot my dog." That was it alright!

Sometimes hope is all we have to hold on to...
And in our darkest moments we find not only the pain but the goodness as well. Despite what has happened to you and been done to you you have survived. Where many others would have given up and let themselves be silenced in order to have a guilt free escape from the pain, you stood your ground and said no. You refused to let the memories of those who were wrongly taken from this world be forgotten, and in dong so I believe you have honored them far beyond anything the world could offer. You have given them a voice where there's have been taken from them, and although you may not be able to do much with it now, no one knows what the future holds. So hold tightly to both your memories and the one's who love you enough to stick by you now. The time will come when everything you desire will happen, and I know that when it does you will find the peace you so richly deserve.
