I'll get that memoir. How I've related to my parents
through different stages of my life is interesting,
constantly changing and I tend to forget the good times
and focus on the bad when it suits me. Not good.

Looks like you're gathering momentum on the memoir..
Samuel Delaney's memoir, I beleive it is called "Shadows in Water"...I couldn't finish it, but his treatment of how memory absolutely blindsides you is interesting.
