Our community has been placed in a burn and noburn area. We cannot burn but the folks across the road can burn. We are small farmers and cannot get our special dispensation to burn away from homes because our field is too narrow. So, we have to take every single piece of brush to the landfill. Each pick up load is $8.00 - we went on Tuesday, so I know what you mean. The piles grow way too fast.

YOu have done a great job by burning the brush .
It is natural to feel the way you felt if the flames of the fire was that strong as desribed by you in this post . Good post !
