A marvellous statement about your love for your great country. And while I am a proud Canadian, I am also proud that we have America as our friend and neighbour! I also appreciate how lucky we are to have you as our only neighbour, and as our best friend.
Have a great 4th, and tonight I shall have some excellent Kentucky bourbon in America's honour!

Today is my sister's 67th wedding anniversary.
She was Rosie the Riveter, he was a Sailor, and they married six weeks after they met. He was shipped out a few weeks later, served on PT boats in the Pacific theatre. He didn't meet their first son until he was around two years old. The second was born while he was working toward a college degree on the GI Bill. After graduation he worked as a sociologist in the prison system until retirement. They now have eleven grandchildren, going on 30 great grandchildren. He never forgets their anniversary.
