OTA. - that's it really - their mouths say the right things, their actions
tell quite a different story.

sannhet - I don't know if it is their goal but it does make one wonder
They do like to proclaim what good Christians they are amongst themselves. They all join in with re-affirming comments when one of them writes a post talking about promoting all of the important human qualities in the name of their God, then they just as readily join in when it is time to slander someone who doesn't believe as they do. I wonder if they have any idea that the proclamations and re-affirmations become hypocritical when they act this way? Probably not.

Gomedome
Its really sad, most every religion I am familiar with tell their members  that we should always be loving. It is no wonder people get a bad taste in their mouths for religion when they are subjected to harassment by the very people who proclaim 'brotherly love'. ~Peace, OTA

Gome -
Sadly for some, the only way to enjoy their lives is to create drama - however that plays out and regardless of who it hurts - or perhaps that is the goal.

Yes, and we must wait two thousand years to finally hear Tom Hanks say that Mary Magdalin was Jesus's WIFE.

Yes, it's happened to me numerous times...I'm left baffled...

Ariala - I'm sure you have experienced this type of thing here on Blogit in

the past.

Someone nice to your face (so to speak) yet stabbing you in the back by joining in gossip with others. This doesn't really bother me as much as it dissapoints me. How can I have dialogue with this person again . . . why would I want to?

taxguy - that is the underlying theme of most religions, it just makes me

wonder how so many people miss the point?

Of particular hypocrisy are the subjects of this post. They proclaim that they represent all that is good (a real tough standard to live up to) yet do things such as promoting lies about others in attempts to vilify those who do not share their religious beliefs. We are all just human, none of us is perfect but some folks really are spiritually clueless.

Gome, not sure what is going on, (haven't been around much)
but as a believer, myself, I try to give room for others to believe or not believe.  I don't choose my friends, associates or etc. based on belief but rather on decent human behavior.  I find it disheartening when either side starts in, but like you said, if we don't like what you or someone else says, we don't have to read it.  That's my policy, too.

You Are Exactly Right
I am a practicing Mormon and we are taught to hold kindness in all others, not just those who share our beliefs. If you truly believe in our faith, we should be creating an atomosphere of love and welcome instead of one that is adveserial.
