I'm glad your winter will start brightening up now. The winters here are dreadful for the most part, and I'm thankful you don't have to live through them.
Child abuse is a horrible thing, Rob. I've witnessed it first hand, and I've also been through one of the worst forms of it-(sexual abuse, not physical)-you have every right to your cynasism as far as I go.
I don't know what the policies in Australia are, but I can tell you that here, they suck. My only comfort is that God will take care of those who harm His little ones.
My prayers will be with these children...
