sannhet - it never ceases to amaze me how human beings can completely

miss their own underlying religious message.

If it could be proven, I'd be willing to bet that Jesus never said it was okay to give gays a rough ride for example. I am also quite certain that if he ever returned today, he'd change his name to disassociate himself from what has happened in his name. If he met up with guys like the late Jerry Falwell, or Pat Robertson, he'd beat the bejesus out of them (literally) with his sheepherding stick. Ego certainly plays a part in how people view themselves and their beliefs as paramount above all others but so too do a host of other human weaknesses.

It's really pretty sad how moral superiority does seem to go hand in hand with one who is convinced their particular brand of religion is right. Actually, since Ego is at the forefront of all of this it's not sad, it's shameful.
