This is good, she ask did you want it lowered? They did not wait for you to call to get the credit available increased. Telephone, cable and all sorts of service companies are doing that now. Over the years I changed telephone services many times because they had a special that was lower than my regular service. Finally I let the ground line go completely. Good post as usual.

This is normal in the UK.
You have to be proactive with banks or credit card companies, and change regularly, to avoid getting charged more, but now people have learned to do that, they have started charging a fee for changing and transferring debt! If you don't have debt it's not so bad, but most people do. It can also be very traumatic to change banks. They make it take a couple of months to frighten you from ever doing it again.

Credit card Interest rates..........
We have always known how high the % rate was but we always pay our bills in full each month so we never pay any interest.  But I didn't know about calling the company and having the rate reduced "just by calling".
