39 years of sobriety is an overwhelmingly illuminous light to share! Thanks for the visit, my friend.

That is the question, isn't it? What can't people grasp the message? Maybe because they don't want to? Because they know that the true message means that they have to change their way of life?

Thanks for visiting, my friend. I am fascinated with all of the sacred scriptures, since they all tell us basically the same thing. And I never had considered it, but it DOES seem like a Christ shows up about every 2500 years. I'm going to have to do some more research on that.

Sannhet

Always an inspiration you are my friend. And a great help to me personally. Thanks for blogging.

“He who for the sake of happiness hurts others who also want happiness, shall not hereafter find happiness.” (131)

My comment to that would be long but basically, divorce has caused me to be hurt by my children and step-children. Of course, being human, my responses have hurt them. I have awareness, and much guilt. Now, for that sake of happiness, I talk with a psychotherapist, and all of the happiness seems to necessitate my 'letting go' of most of my children, step-children, and concentrate on simply living and taking care of myself so they won't ever have to do that. In any case, by being alone, and letting go of children that I did raise responsibly, and not even being involved to a great degree with grandchildren, I have stopped the wheel of unhappiness by simply living for myself, and leaving all the rest to God.

“He who overcomes the evil that he does with the good that he afterwards does, he sheds a light over the world like that of the moon when free from clouds.” (173)

I love that very much. Of course getting sober for 39 years, is the only light I can shed by sharing that one truth.

Absolutely it’s a universal message! The “do unto others…” approach to life produces such positive results and it’s such a simple, easily understood principle. Why is it then so difficult for some people to grasp the message of your post and the messages you have sited?

I enjoyed your write and the quotes that relates to me in a way that I can call my own, because some of these I've read in original and have contemplated over them. Gita was written, it is in fact called the Song of the Divine, giving an idea that though Krishna spoke, the words were of the Divine using Krishna as a medium, some 5200 years ago when Dwapar Yuga was nearing its end and about the advent of Kali Yuga. Buddha was 2500 years later. A highly developed civilization ends, and another starts, but it is interesting to note that every 2500 years, there is born some god-like figure on the earth. Uncannily, it also coincides with the completion of one round of the sun, going round its own far bigger sun every 2500 years. Another thing, at no point of time can any claim to have spoken originally, because everything that is there to be said has already been said, the origin being without a begining, or an end. 'nuff said, I tend to go on a journey. Loved the way you put.

Touching on spiritual truths
There is alot of truth in the quotes you posted.

The path of man is to become God realised through spiritual freedom, enabling
acension into the heavenly realms. Perfection, incorruption and holiness (wholeness of light) all point to an inner condition, not an outer one. Many people are unaware that their spirit has a man-shape, hence, spirit man. Understanding what binds the spirit in the 'dark clouds' and how to remove these binds is ultimately realised by the process of sanctification, leading to salvation. Salvation can be defined as the process of being taken away from that which causes harm. As darkness is removed from the spirit, there is a progressive lightening which is manifest to the beleiver through dreams. Eventual liberation allows the spirit to rise without falling. As the spirit rises, the world is shown to fall away beneath the spirit man's feet. Being born again requires a commitment to daily prayer, as this is the means by which the spirit is energised. No prayer, no spirit life. Stop your prayer life and no longer born again of the spirit.

The spirit of man is the thing which is active in the dreams of man. The gateway or entrance to the spiritual life begins with the prayer life. As the physical body needs food to nourish it, so the the spirit, as a separeate body (astral body), requires the food of prayer and scripture for it's energisings. The ultimate aim is for the spirit to 'fight off' that which seeks to keep the spirit earthbound, instead of heavenbound.

Heaven is revealed within us when there is a final liberation of the spirit and a subsequent  divine indwelling of holy spirit.
