We should learn to put our trust in our own good judgment rather than in other people.  Sometimes, we make assumptions regarding someone else's beliefs.  It is then that we are deceived.  If someone else's way seems wrong, we need to trust in our own ability to make the correct decisions, especially in a fast paced world.

There’s no doubt – sometimes people break our trust but I think one should live their life giving people the benefit of the doubt. Offer trust and 9 times out of 10 someone will hold that dear and not betray you. To live in fear or always looking over one’s shoulder wouldn’t be truly living at all.
