I just love these festivals celebrating creativity, don't you?
There is so much monetary reward surrounding media entertainment and sports, not to belittle these crafts but where is the recognition to the art of teaching or community service, to those who contribute to the wellfare of our children and our safety. I live in our state's capital where politics runs high but in it's duo significants, this is also one of the greatest known west coast areas for the habitation of what we refer to as 'greeners' the label penning from the Evergreen State College which was one of the first in the country to put the arts and environmental studies above business and politics. One of our highlighted events every year is called 'Procession of the Species' in which everyone dresses as their favorite 'species' and parades down main street in celebration and honor of all the creatures God gave us to enjoy. Did you attend your fesitval then last weekend?
