I love that. We bought chickens to give for our grandchildren last year. We give monthly to a group who does wells and a free medical group. We don't have much but it all counts.

That is true. Sometimes it is just a kind act toward someone that makes their day, one has been blessed.

This is true. There are always those who will take advantage of any situation. There are those who just don't want the responsibility of having to be some place at a certain time. Some people never grow up. I don't think those should be given hand outs or welfare. Thanks for your comments.

A lot of them get permits to give the left over food. A lot of them have code sealing in the restaurants for meals on wheels. But there are a lot who don't as well. Thanks for the read.

Re: Justi....Good morning!
we have those that pan handle and make more then if they worked on a good day, but we also have those that stand for a hand out on the corner where there is a sign Hiring, all the cross the front of McDonalds etc, but its easier to beg

do you know how much food restaurants throw out everyday they should be able to call the homeless shelters and offer them food, but they probably cant because of the regulations, but when they throw the food out in the trash, who is thinking about regulations when they dive in the trash bins for food?  There is too much greed here in the US, there are those that care, even someone who is larger than life on the movie screen is helping people every day like that of that of Angelina Jole and Brad Pitt.

by trying to help one child a year, by helping to build one well by buying
a goat each year, I try to help where I can. I can't do it all but if we all did one thing for one person the world would be more even. My choice is World Vision but there are plenty of choices out there to help with.

I don't think we should equalize it. I don't believe in Welfare, or any government hand outs except for a very limited time while they get a job. Socialism is not the way! Have a great day.

They are but no unexpected. People want the government to be our daddy. Socailsm is the answer to most of them. NOT TO ME. Beless you, have a great time.

Those are so good. Each of these people can move outward helping hundreds more and it multiplies. We all can change the world one person at a time. Be blessed.

Justi....Good morning!
It always been that way and always will be.......didn't Christ himself admit that there will be poor aways????  We can do what we can....but some would prefer to equalize things......in a Robin Hood-esque fashion......

It is true that we Americans take things too lightly. We are very fortunate and still complain about everything. Thanks for posting.

I'm more direct with mine. I started a bursary in Joycie's name and every year a not so well off student gets a grant to go on with their education. Then I'm part of another grant for a very special psychologist in Montreal, a nun who helps a lot of people.

There are so many great agencies that you can trust. My husband and I give at least 10% of all we make (not much) to these efforts. One of them does all these things and medical work free for the poor as well. Individuals need to do this. Governments cannot be trusted not ours or any other.

Hey Justi-
Great post. It's really all a shame and I am embarrassed as an American for it. This f-ing country and it's F-ed up priorities...I won't go on a rant!

I like to help people directly and I do not have faith in any Government
agency . I have been constantly writing on the subject of injustice meted out to the poor by all the so called great nations . Excellent post .
