Re: Wiley
If you disagree with someone, give legitimate reasons why. Don't call people names or tarnish their character. I agree with that. Disagreements can be civil. ''We can disagree without being disagreeable.'' Whoever came up with that quotation is wise.

It is totally unfair and untrue to consider political correctness to be a kind and gentle method of treating people. Thanks for your comment.

Thank you for your comment. Would it not be so much better if our Politicians would shoot straight with us instead of building lie upon lie in order to get elected? I love the story you have going now. You are really good at writing fiction and dialogue. Keep it coming.

This comment says it all. The Universities have swayed the students, the Politicians have brainwashed their parents and we are on a very slippery slope past socialism right into communism. It is sad. Thank you for such good and wise words. Be blessed.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!

You are sooo right! The problem with (U.S.) colleges/universities, is that most of the tenured professors of today, are radical leftists from the sixties era - and, of course, they do their best to see that only "like minded" professors get tenured. David Horowitz is all over this issue - trying to change it - he's written excellent books (and has an excellent website) on the subject - he's also staunchly against Islamists terrorists - what's so interesting about him, is that he's a "convert!" He was literally raised by communist parents, and was deeply involved in many of the radical, left-wing movements/organizations of the 1960's, until he gradually began to realize what dispicable, hypocrites they were - in other words, not wanting to debate, but to stifle it - there's no room for dissent! Also, no compassion or tolerance for anyone with opposing views - preaching peace, but practicing violence behind the scenes! Anyway, excellent post!!!

What a great comment. Thank you so much. That is a really good way to put it when people take a one dimensional attitude on communication. Thanks a lot.

Howdy do Justi!
What do we have to gain from non-debate? Zilch. Zip. Zero. Nada.
I've never understood the concept or practice of making a statement against another person's point of view then walking away and not allowing that person to object to what's been said or further clarify his or her point of view. We live in a 3-dimensional world. A one dimensional perspective tends to sour on my tongue!
