I think most everything should be up for discussion in a healthy marriage
And of course a willingness to compromise; but it should be balanced. And no "obeying" on either side!! (I've seen husbands bullied and accepting, most pathetically) Good post, Lustorlove.

Married twice, refuse to use the word obey each time
We are loving partners and only quarrel over silly things. Once when we bought carpet for the house the sales person had never seen it happen so quick. Well we'd discussed it all out before we got there and all agreement was already reached with mutual satisfaction.

I hate the word "obey" being used in wedding vows. Spouses should have a 50/50 partnewship. Neither should trample the other. That is why each of you have a little spending money to spend however you want. Then the rest of it is spent through mutual agreement.
